Golf Courses
Japan’s Most Exclusive Championship Golf Courses
Kasumigaseki Country ClubOne of Japan’s most prestigious and historically significant golf clubs, Kasumigaseki Country Club is best known for hosting the golf events of the Tokyo Olympic Games. The course is revered for its immaculate conditioning, classic design and deep golfing heritage. Access is highly restricted as it is a private members’ club, making a round here a rare privilege for international visitors. Kasumigaseki is frequently listed among Japan’s elite courses and is widely regarded as one of the country’s most exclusive golfing experiences.
Tokyo Golf Club
Tokyo Golf Club is another ultra-exclusive private course that represents the pinnacle of Japanese golf culture. The course is celebrated for its traditional championship layout, strategic bunkering and pristine presentation. As a members-only club with extremely limited visitor access, playing here is considered a true honour among golfers touring Japan. It is regularly regarded as one of the top historic courses in the country.
Fujizakura Country Club
Located near the iconic Mount Fuji region, Fujizakura Country Club offers spectacular mountain scenery combined with a challenging championship design. The course has hosted professional tournaments and is known for its excellent conditioning and elevated alpine environment. While more accessible than Japan’s ultra-private clubs, it remains a highly respected tournament venue and a standout course in the Fuji highlands.
Hakone Country Club
Set within the famous mountain resort area of Hakone, this classic course is admired for its natural terrain, strategic shot-making requirements and tranquil forest surroundings. Hakone Country Club is considered a premium regional championship course and offers a refined private-club atmosphere that is difficult to access for casual visitors.
Kawana Hotel Fuji Course
Often regarded as one of Japan’s most beautiful seaside golf experiences, the Fuji Course at Kawana Hotel is a legendary layout built along dramatic coastal cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The course is consistently featured in Asia’s top course rankings and is internationally famous for its scenery and classic design. Playing here is a bucket-list experience for serious golfers due to its reputation, history and exclusivity.
Kawana Hotel Oshima Course
The Oshima Course offers a different but equally memorable challenge at Kawana Hotel. With rolling terrain and strategic coastal positioning, this course is highly regarded for enjoyable championship play. While slightly more accessible than the Fuji Course, it remains a respected course within Japan’s elite resort golf destinations.
Hirono Golf Club
Hailed by many as Japan’s greatest golf course, Hirono Golf Club is a masterpiece of classic strategic design. Frequently featured in global “world’s best golf courses” lists, Hirono is an extremely private members’ club with very limited international access. The course is known for its meticulous maintenance, demanding shot strategy and historic architectural significance, making a round here one of the most exclusive golfing experiences in Asia.
Osaka Golf Club
The tour will conclude with a round at Osaka Golf Club, one of the premier championship courses in the Kansai region. Known simply as “Osaka” among golfers, this private members’ course offers outstanding conditioning, classic strategic design and a strong tournament pedigree. Playing here provides a true elite Japanese golfing experience to finish the tour in style.

Non-Golfer Information
Non-golfers are very welcome on this tour and will travel on the same private coach transfers as the golfers (as per the main itinerary).
Access to Golf Clubs
Due to the exclusivity of certain private members’ clubs, non-golfers will not be permitted access to the clubhouses at:
- Kasumigaseki Country Club
- Tokyo Golf Club
- Hirono Golf Club
At the other clubs, access is expected to be more flexible, subject to final numbers and club approval.
Non-golfers are not permitted to walk on the golf courses during play at any venue.
What Do Non-Golfers Do During Golf?
Previous tours have shown that many spouses are very happy organising their own sightseeing and activities. Every destination on this itinerary offers plenty to enjoy — from historic towns and cultural sites to shopping, hot springs, coastal walks and local cuisine.
We also plan to offer optional activity programmes for non-golfers (some at additional cost). Once we know how many non-golfers are travelling and their interests, we will design suitable experiences accordingly.
Please note: the non-golfer package does not include lunch at the golf clubs.
- Kasumigaseki Country Club

Handicap Limits
Due to the prestige and exclusivity of the courses we will be playing during the Japan Open, strict handicap requirements apply.

Handicap Requirement:
-
All players must hold an official handicap of 24 or lower.
-
Proof of handicap will be required prior to the event.
These restrictions are set by the clubs themselves and are non-negotiable. They help maintain pace of play, uphold club standards, and respect the traditions of Japanese golf culture.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in meeting these requirements.
