Parking:

Hotel’s current daily parking rates are $22 for self-parking and $35 for valet. 

Also, across the road from the Marriott Hotel, approximately a 5 minute walk, is a retail park and overnight parking is free of charge.

Breakfast Options:

Breakfast is not included in the package, but guests have several options to choose from.

Breakfast at Nineteen in TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse - Previous experiences have shown that many people enjoy this option.

Breakfast at the Marriott Hotel - Served from 7.00am to 11.00am, costing around $28.

Metro Diner - Located in the shopping area across the road from the hotel, offering a full breakfast for approximately $15 plus tip.

Starbucks in the hotel lobby – Convenient for a quick breakfast option.

Golf Courses

Tees:  TBC – depending on conditions on the day.

Range Balls:  Provided each day with superb practice facilities, including long game and short game areas.

Bag storage: Guests can safely leave their golf bags at Sawgrass and they will be ready on their buggy each morning.

Buggies & Electric Trolleys

Buggies are included and shared between two players.

Caddie Program:  A Forecaddie program is provided for all golfers on The Players Stadium Course and Dye’s Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass. A minimum gratuity of $40 per golfer per round is required.

Course Transfers

Dye’s Valley and The Players Stadium Course are conveniently located within a 5-minute drive from the hotel. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the courses, although they are not exclusively reserved for our group.

Please allow 30 minutes for the shuttle ride from the front of the Marriott Hotel to the courses.  Marsh Landing Country Club is slightly further than the entrance to TPC Sawgrass but still less than 10 minutes from the Marriott Hotel.

Directions to Sawgrass:  Both golf courses are situated at TPC Sawgrass, approximately a 5-minute drive from the hotel if you have your own vehicle. To reach TPC Sawgrass, turn left out of the main hotel entrance, pass through the security barrier, and after approximately half a mile, you’ll see TPC Sawgrass signposted on the left.

Format and Handicaps

Format: The scoring format each day will be individual Stableford.

Handicaps: Playing Handicap will be set at 95% of Course Handicap. The maximum Playing Handicaps are 24 for men and 30 for ladies. If your handicap exceeds these limits, you can still play, but for competition purposes, you’ll play off these limits.

All five rounds will be run under the World Handicap System (WHS). Scores will not automatically be forwarded to England Golf.  Participants MUST return their daily scores to their golf club. The easiest way to do this is to forward the email from Golf Genius, which will be received after each round, and provides details of your scores.

GAGT Overseas Handicap System (OHA):  Handicaps will be adjusted after each round in line with the GAGT OHA system. The GAGT OHA system is based on the CONGU handicap system prior to the introduction of WHS. Adjustments made by the GAGT OHA system will not affect your club Handicap Index.

The GAGT OHA system takes precedence over adjustments made by a player’s home club to ensure consistency. Details of the GAGT OHA system can be provided upon request.

Daily Draw:  The draw for the first two rounds will be available on the website a week before the event.

Draws for the last two rounds will be made in score order.

In the fourth round, the leaders will go out first.

In the last round, the leaders will go out last.

Participants can use the message facility in their Locker/Account for requests such as playing partners and early or late tee times in round 1, 2 and 3. The organisers will do their best to accommodate these requests.

Prizes and Sweep

To avoid excess baggage charges, prizes will be in the form of vouchers for the Global Amateur Golf Tour.

Daily Prizes:

1^st Place: £100 GAGT voucher

2^nd Place: £70 GAGT voucher

3^rd Place: £50 GAGT voucher

Overall vouchers: 

1st Place: £200 GAGT voucher

2nd Place: £175 GAGT voucher

3rd Place: £150 GAGT voucher

Nearest the Pin:  There will be two Nearest the Pins for each round, with a prize of a £25 GAGT voucher.

Sweep:  An optional sweep of $50, $10 per round, collected in cash during check-in before the first round.  The sweep will be paid out daily for the leading three scores and anyone who scores a two.

Order of Merit

Merit points will be awarded for all five rounds.

Points will be awarded on the basis of 100 points to the winner, 99 points for runner-up, 98 points for third, and so on.

Participants need to be a current member of the GAGT to qualify for merit points.

Local Rules and Dress Code

Local Rules: Local Rules on the scorecard will be in play, in addition to the R&A Rules of Golf.

Dress Code:  Ankle-length socks are acceptable, and shorts must be tailored. Jacket & Tie are not required; Smart Casual attire is acceptable in the clubhouse.

Late cancellation:  The golf club will make a charge for late cancellation after numbers have been submitted.
